We must "Set the Record Straight" omission of Hispanics in History of The American Revolution

  HOME

My Dear Friends,

When I notice our exclusion from our American History Books and
from Resolutions in Congress, I have to say, "You are so use to
doing it,(excluding us), that you don't even know you are doing it".

This is where our experts Latino and Friend Historians that know
the contribution of the Spaniards and the South Latin Americans
that supported the efforts on the American Revolution so that the French

could help George Washington achieve the Victory in Yorktown.

I don't think that this bill passed in last year session of the 109th
congress. I will double check. We must "Set the Record Straight".

Thank you.

My Fiends,

As many of you know, if Spain had not protected the Southern Flank
for the French Navy, and supplied the French Navy from the south,
there might not have been a victory in Yorktown. In another article,

the French mentioned that Washington did not want to attack the
British at Yorktowns, but the French went ahead to provide the victory.
On the House Resolution 748, I did not see any Latino congressional

names. I doubt if there were any comments to correct just mentioning
of the Americans and French and exclusion of Spain. This H.Res 748
was just a "Simple Resolution" that did not require the Senate nor

the President to pass.

There were 7000 prisoners of war who died while prisoners of war on English prison ships in New York Harbor after being captured

Out of the 7000 there were over 4000 Spanish soldiers  fighting for American independence.  Most of the others were Rebel Americans.
