Martín
Barba
Some
members of this pre-Rebellion family very likely came back to New Mexico
in 1693
as plain "Martín." And would be difficult to separte
from any Martín Serrano people
who also dropped the second part of the name.
Martín Barba returned to New Mexico as Juan Luján.
Luis Martin Serrano of the preceding century, and his wife Catalina de Salazar, had many descendants to resettle New Mexico in 1693 through at least two sons, Louis II and Pedro. ( brother is Hernán)
